My Sustained Investigation

My Inquiry:
How can movement, emphasis, and color influence the tone of an art piece?
In my Investigation, I experimented with movement toward each figure in 1-3, using bold and dark colors to create a mysterious tone. In 4-7, my attention shifted to playful colors to illustrate a fantasy atmosphere, focusing on the entrance to the backdrop through dimensional layering. Transforming fantasy to renditions of fairytales, 8-12 use color and movement to vocalize the character's journey in each story. Lastly, I ceased using figures to further the narrative, in 13-15, and, instead, focalized this portal into the unknown. To add depth, I revisited layering techniques with a laser cutter and card stock.
